94 The Wine Advocate: "...bearing the elegant cream label with maroon border that Krug began to use in 1983, this bottle of the NV Brut Grande Cuve (late 1980s) was showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with an inviting bouquet of baked orchard fruit, spiced peaches, orange oil, toasted nuts and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and enveloping, it's lively but charming, with a textural attack and a generous core of fruit, complemented by a lovely pinpoint mousse. This is drinking with real generosity today..."
